How to make your Android phone safe for your kids to use
Category: General Posted:Jun 07, 2015 By: Alvera AntoIf you are the person who spend a lot of time around kids, then you must try to manage the smart devices like smart phones, tablets etc. Here are some applications from Android Lollipop that will help in protecting the apps from young users:
Setting up user accounts
This new version of Android Lollipop also supports user accounts. This is similar to Windows or Mac.
While using Settings, scroll down to Users and click on Add user. This will create individual users with customization and apps which do not interfere with other’s account. Multiple accounts can be created using Android Lollipop.
We can disable calling and SMS using the setting features in different accounts. You can also restrict various apps using this feature.
Pinning apps
Parental security measures also involve screen pinning. In this select setting, tap security and then screen pinning. Also activate PIN unlock so that you need a pin code to switch to any app.
Individual apps
To ensure user control on individual apps at system level please choose Settings from the main menu and hide the visibility to ensure Google password is required for any new purchases.
The new app like Net Nanny is also available on our new Android Lollipop.
Kid Mode application creates a security feature for the kids and limits the number of games that the kid plays around.
Parental control application helps to create a child friendly environment.
The Net Nanny application is the best one to consider. Its major focus is on browser side for the equation where it replaces the browser and blocks the unwanted inappropriate content from the kids. So by this way the young kids who spend a lot of time on the gadgets can be easily monitored by their parents.
