Why Africa is a great market for SAP?

“Today, 18 of the 20 biggest organizations in Africa run on SAP. Our following frontier is to help SMEs to be good as any organization in the world,” says Murguia. ” Numerous worldwide organizations are coming here. We can help local organizations to contend and be as good as the multinationals coming to Africa.” 

The German multinational software corporation builds enterprise software to handle business tasks and customer relations and has more than 238,000 clients around the world. One of the organizations utilizing SAP’s Solutions in East Africa is Bidco Oil Refineries, a producer of edible oils, fats, cleansers, margarine, and detergents with units in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and its items marketed in 16 African nations. Bidco has embraced the SAP Enterprise Resource Planning solution to deal with its business activities of 30 brands and 2,100 representatives.

The continent is rising; it isn’t simply Kenya or Nigeria or traditional South Africa. That is the reason this is energizing for us. The change is occurring everywhere.”

Developing a skills pool 

HR, Murguia says, is the greatest challenge for SAP as it looks to develop its business in Africa. 

“I would state that moving ahead, the main hindrance for our development will be the accessibility of skilled ability for us,” says Murguia. “That is the reason we have a program called Abilities for Africa in which we are collaborating with 16 colleges over the district and ensuring those students who experience the school’s employment [at SAP]. We are assembling new ability at a marginal expense.” 

While guidelines, language, and culture might be distinctive in Africa’s diverse market of 54 nations, Murguia says SAP is hopeful about the achievement of its operations in Africa given the comparable needs organizations on the continent face. 

“We help organizations to be the best run. Every organization doing manufacturing needs to do effective inventories and each organization needs to deal with its workforce and have great relations with its clients. These are basic issues and difficulties that each organization faces whether you are in Finland, in Gabon or Thailand.”
